BA 559: Qualitative Research Methods

What are you excited to cover/explore and why?

How might we appreciate the richness of our lived worlds. The human condition is multi-faceted and varied. It is exciting to come to know not only ourselves, but also others. 

What are some of your main goals/expectations as a professor to DBA students?

To help gain an understanding of how we know and what we know besides gaining self-awareness of the limits to our knowing.

How would you summarize your research expertise?

Creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, technology. 

Why is it important to you?

Without understanding these facets of our existence, we cannot understand human. 

How would you describe your research approach?

Engaged scholarship.

What was the most helpful advice you’ve received from a professor/manager that still holds true?

If you don't believe in yourself, no one else will.  

Tell us an interesting fact about you.

I was immediately taken up by the word wabi-sabi, which I translate for my own purpose as a nudge to appreciate the oddities of our lives, not as imperfectionists, but as facets that are inherently and exquisitely beautiful.
